Entries accepted: Next steps

Further to our previous announcement after entries were suspended as planned on Thursday, 12 October, we have accepted 468 crews at this point. BROE administrators will have received email notifications of which of their entries have been accepted.

Entries that have NOT been accepted (and have the status ‘Submitted’ in BROE) have been placed on waiting lists (see below). Most of these waiting list crews are unlikely to be able to race, but crews will be accepted from the top of the lists (see Entries Process) if any Accepted crews withdraw before the official Close of Entries at noon on Friday, 20 October. After that no more crews can be accepted and entry fees will be refunded for all crews that have not been accepted.

Waiting lists:

Note: Waiting Lists show only BROE IDs as the British Rowing Rules of Racing do not allow us to “disclose the identity of any crews entered” before the official Close of Entries. We have published these so that Clubs (who know the BROE IDs of their own crews) can identify where their crews are on the waiting lists and therefore how likely it is that they will be accepted.

Clubs are strongly encouraged to withdraw any Accepted crew that is no longer able to race before the official Close of Entries at noon on Friday, 20 October. This will allow another crew to take its place.

The provisional start order will be published after the official Close of Entries (probably in the evening of 22 October).

Boating locations for visiting crews

Visiting clubs should check this list, which shows the host clubs to which they have been provisionally allocated. Preferred boating locations in BROE have been updated by us to reflect this list (but in case of discrepancy, this list prevails).

In almost all cases, clubs have been allocate to their preferred boating location. Most changes are due to preferred hosts not being able to accommodate junior crews/senior crews.

Visiting clubs MUST now:

  • Check their allocated boating location on the above list and contact entries@fourshead.org if there are any problems.
  • Contact their allocated host to arrange payment, and so that their host has their contact details to send them out any required instructions. Host club contact details can be found here.

Host clubs: This list shows the visiting clubs (with their crew and trailer numbers) allocated to each host club. As set out above, visiting clubs should now contact you to arrange payment and give you thei contact details for instructions. Thank you again for enabling the Fours Head to happen by hosting.
