We are delighted to announce that Sudbury Rowing Club are the winners of the 2021 Davison Award.
This discretionary award for the standout performance from a small club was created in 2018 in memory of Noel Davison, who was Honorary Secretary of the race from 2014-2018.
Several clubs were strong contenders for the prize this year, based on a combination of the diversity and size of their entry as well as overall performance. Richard Phelps, Chairman of the Fours Head, selected Sudbury after considerable analysis and discussion with the Committee, who all look forward to welcoming representatives of the club to the prizegiving to receive their Davison Blade from members of Noel’s family.
